Over lunch I made a mad dash to the recently opened Trader Joe’s, where I gleefully picked up several bottles of the “Two Buck Chuck,” some almonds, heirloom tomatoes, and a tube of peppermint toothpaste. All the cool foodstuffs tempted me from their places on the shelves, but I bypassed them for a later day when I’d have more time.
The lady at the checkout assured me the wine was actually pretty tasty, she’d tried it herself last night. That was good news to me because I have plans to pour a rather large glass for myself later this evening. Maybe even two.
It depends on how things go with my computer.
Last week my hard drive suffered an untimely death and I’ve been living in a technical nightmare ever since then.
My new laptop wasn’t set up the way I thought I ordered it, so I have to download all the needed programs. Not cool.
While installing a new version of Windows I wiped out all the drivers. Which you apparently need in order for a computer to do pretty much ANYTHING. Anyway, these have to be sent directly from Dell. Some money saving manager must’ve thought they were really doing the company a service when they decided to stop shipping those disks with the computer and make them available online. But hello! You can’t access the internet without a driver. How user-friendly is that?!?!
Anyway, here I am at Kinko’s. Braving the just slightly above zero-degree temperatures to scan through emails and let you know why I’ve been largely silent this week.
Thank goodness for fur-lined boots and the Two Buck Chuck.
I understand Two Buck Chuck is no longer $2. How much did you pay?

Oh - I wish we had a Trader Joes near us.
Hope you enjoyed your wine and your evening.

Two Buck Chuck is now $2.99. I *guess* that's still two dollars...
